According to local residents, in addition to the damage to the office buildings, one police officer under the Military Council was killed when the office of the Union Solidarity and Development Party in Hpapun, Karen State was detonated by a mine.
On July 17th, around 12AM and early morning, the office building of the Union Solidarity and Development Party was destroyed, one policeman was killed and some buildings in the ward (1) were hit due to the explosion.
He said, “The office is all over damaged, and the houses in Ward(1) were hit and one policeman was hit but the rest are not hit. At around 12 AM, not sure how many exploded but In the early morning, there were three explosions .”
There has been no confirmation from the Phar Si Than news agency about the death of one police officer under the military council when the office of the Union Solidarity and Development Party was hit by a Timing mine.
In addition, last 14th June, a house was damaged when a mine was detonated in the premises of the Township Forest Department Hpapun Township under the Military Council.
The offices of the Department under the Military Council were detonated by mines and destroyed not only in Hpapun but also in the land registry office, the office of the general Administrator, and the police station in Kyar Inn Seik Gyi, Karen State, where were also frequently bombed by KNLA joint forces with drones.
