The Ta Khun Taing police station, where the military council is stationed, is frequently bombarded by drones.

In Kyar Inn Seik Gyi Township,Karen State, the residents have reported frequent drone bombardments on the Ta Khun Taing police station, which serves as a military base for the soldiers.

According to the local man, from July 11 to 17, after the battle between the joint forces of KNLA and the military council troops that had entered at the hill of Nyein Chan Myaing (Sitta Thukha Monastery) in Kyar Inn Seik Gyi Township , the sound of drones and bombardment targeting the Ta Khun Taing police station was often heard.

On July 24th, the sound can be heard from Daing Lut, Kamawtwan due to the drone bombardment targeting the police station.They bombed the police station and then along the Nyein Chan Myaing but it’s quiet now.

“The police station has been targeted five times by drones, with three drone attacks reported from the Karen side on July 21st” , he added.

Also, the drone flying around the police station and the sounds of bombings were heard, a local man said that it could not be confirmed because no one dared to check around the police station.

I heard a sound sometimes but I don’t know who shot whom.

There are houses around that area but no one stays there and no one has been there for a long time and everyone have been fleed to the safer place. I thought it was near the police station. No one will know exactly because there is no one round,” he said.

The ongoing attacks have made the area around the police station and neighboring houses uninhabitable, forcing around 2,000 locals from Pu Lei, Kle, and Ta Khun Taing Villages to flee to safer areas.

Although there have been no official statements from any organization regarding the bombing of police station.

In the Kle-Ta Khun Taing villages group,the situation remains intense and the military army has been firing heavy weapons at the villages, reported Ko Hein, deputy commander of the Red Dragon Column.

“The military council has been using heavy weapons, including 122 mm howitzers from the Abis artillery, to dominate the region.” he added.

As a result of the fighting between the Military Council Army and the Local Revolutionary Joint Forces and due to the Military Council Army firing heavy weapons, around 2,000 locals from Pu Lei and Kle and Ta Khun Taing Villages had to flee to nearby villages.

After the battle, some residents come back to stay a moment in the village.

In addition, the military council camps in Karen State and Mon State, police stations under the Military Council, Checkpoints, and relevant offices under the military council were often bombarded by drones.

And then on July 14th at around 12 P.M, the Taung Kalay police station from Kyaikmaraw Township in Mon State was attacked by a drone resulting ylin the death of 3 Military Council soldiers and injury to the other 2, according to a release from the Red Dragon Column.
