In Karen State, Kyar Inn Seik Gyi Township, according to the locals, nearly 800 residents have fled because the military council regime marched towards the Myoe Haung village in the Kale-Ta Khun Taing village group.
The military council column of around 200 soldiers entered from Kamarwet village to the Myoe Haung village on September 12, at around 8:00 p.m., causing about 800 residents from the village to flee to nearby villages and Mudon city, according to a local woman.
He said, “There are a lot of forces marching from Kamarwet village, and they have been advancing around the village since yesterday. They are special forces and they have been slowly trooping toward the village for the last 4 days since they completed training.”
In addition, he added that the 200-strong military council column was stationed on Kyaik Kamog Mountain today, September 13th.
A local woman from Pu Lein village said that the military council forces were firing heavy weapons at around 12:00 p.m. on September 12, and because of this column, the residents of the nearby village were worried that another fight would break out.
“Yesterday, I heard that the military regime was stationed in the Myoe Haung village and will also enter our village. Yesterday, I heard the sound of gunshots. Some of the houses in the village and people from the houses are already running ahead,” she said.
Furthermore , the internet has been cut off for more than 2 months in the Kale-Ta Khun Taing village group, and residents said that they are allowed to use the internet only at night.
There was a clash and 4 members of the Military Council were killed when KNLA joint forces attacked the Military Council’s Khlara battalion-284 in the Takhun Taing police station last August 15th.
Regions in Karen State such as Myawaddy, Kawkareik, Kyondoe, Kyar Inn Seik Gyi, Than Daung Gyi, and Hpapun, according to KNLA sources, there are clashes between the Military Council Army and the KNLA joint forces almost every day.
