In Karen State, Myawaddy Township, Cobra Column 2 Venom announced that a deputy commander of SAC was injured in an attack at Shwe Aye Myaing Pagoda Hill, where the military council was stationed at 2:00 p.m. on September 20.
Cobra Column 2 Venom convoy, KNLA 103 column, and the column led by Khay Pway went and opened fire with two 240 mm howitzers toward the military council army stationed in Shwe Aye Myaing Pagoda Hill of Myawaddy Township, at around 1:30 p.m.
In an announcement, U Win Kyaw, the deputy commander of the No. 559th battalion led by Lieutenant Colonel Hein Zaw Latt of the State Administration Council , was injured as a result of this shooting.
“The exact causality could not be confirmed immediately after launching. We opened fire at the Military Council first and then confirmed it in the evening. Under the circumstances, we were able to fire 2 times,” said an official of Cobra Column 2 Venom.
Additionally, an official from Cobra Column 2 Venom said that after the shooting, the military council forces fired heavy weapons thoughtlessly, but there was no harm from the side of revolutionary forces.
“The military council launched with large weapons blindly but fortunately, our comrades were not harmed,” he said.
Moreover, the Military Council Army often conducted raids and marched to battle toward the villages along the Waw Lay and Su Kali.
In Karen State, Departmental offices subordinated to the Military Council in Myawaddy Township have been bombarded frequently by drones since the beginning of September. As a result of being bombed, members of the Military Council have been killed and injured.
Last September 3rd, around 7:00 pm, the Myawaddy city police station was attacked by a drone, killing 6 people, including Lt.Col Aung Kyaw Min of Myawaddy front office, and 10 others were injured.
